Sad to say that I didn’t think my next post after the one below would be to say that my grandmother passed away just a week after those photos were taken. She passed away peacefully, with family in the room. She was a great woman and I know where she is now. She loved her great-grandsons. She was looking at the picture below just seconds before she passed away. We’ll see her again someday.

Drew’s great-grandmother turned 88 this past week (Steve’s grandmother). We had a mini party for her in the nursing home. At 88, she still loves her cake and her great-grandsons.

Hey everyone. I had a cool weekend. I love mommy and daddy, so as long as I am with them, it’s going to be a cool weekend. On Friday, mommy had to go to a party for a friend of mine who is supposedly going to be born in April. I call him “Clarkie”, cause his mommy and daddy won’t tell anyone his real name yet. He’s going to live around the corner from me, so I imagine we’ll play together at some point (when we learn how to walk…which looks pretty cool). While mommy was at the party, I spent time with daddy. I love daddy. He took me to Pastor Brian’s. Here is Pastor Brian. He is Campus Pastor of Northway Church – Colonie. I don’t know what that means, but here he is holding me:

It was a cool evening. I got to see my friend (and potential love interest…baby Avery), although I mostly just slept in the swing while daddy watched tv and ate wings. I saw mommy after the party. I really missed her. It was the longest I’ve been away from her since…well, ever. At night time mommy and daddy read me a book called “Just Like Daddy” given to me by my awesome Aunt Deana. It’s my favorite book. I want to be just like my daddy.

On Sunday, I got to go to church with mommy. Daddy was already there because he was playing drums at Northway Church – Clifton Park. Here I am with my new earphones so daddy’s loud music doesn’t give me a headache.

After church, me , mommy and daddy went to Chili’s. Mommy loves the chips and salsa. Daddy went to the movies with my Papa (daddy’s daddy) and I hung out with mommy and my cool cousins.
Daddy didn’t have to work Monday. I love when daddy is home! Mommy and daddy stared at me and put me in my cool Ralph Lauren onesie. I just sucked my thumb. I like my thumb.

On Monday night, mommy and daddy brought me to Clarkie’s house so they could meet with all thier friends. I saw my friend Avery again. She’s still cute….and still aggressive.

Then I went home and went to bed. It was a fun weekend.

Jenn and I went to my parents house for dinner recently and I wanted to look through my baby pictures to see what I looked like as a baby and compare that to what Drew looks like. People say he looks like me (something that makes me feel very proud), so I wanted to do a ’same age’ comparison. I did find a picture that looks almost exactly like Drew. I also found something else that is very interesting. My mother had taken the front page of the newspaper fro the day I was born, March 6, 1975 and placed it in the album. It was pretty funny to see the headline, as you can see below. It essentially could be the same front page of the day Drew was born. (A slight political comment here: every new politician or administration says they will bring peace to the middle east and to the Isreal-Palestinian issue. Yeah, good luck with that one.)
